Depressed (please no flaming)
I think its quite normal to want one sex or the other when you already have kids especially. I wanted a girl every time for that reason. I dont think there is anything wrong with that at all. At least you are honest about your feelings and can express them. I know you will love the little boy with all your heart but it is a disappointing kind of feeling when you want one and get the other then when you find out its sad and then you get past it and fall in love anyway. I say vent and let it all out and feel better. It is a sad thing and I am happy you said it.
I am so sorry about having to go to the ER. Kids seem to do that kind of thing when its supposed to be a relaxing time. I bet he was strong and brave.
Big hugs for you both and I hope your mom is doing better!!

I think you covered it exactly by saying that you know this baby is a blessing and that you are mourning your feelings. We are all entitled to have our opinions and our feelings and dreams. I always wanted children...I was thrilled to find out I was pregnant, didnt matter boy or girl as long as the baby was healthy. People basically proded me all last pregnancy if I was glad it was a girl...really I was indifferent. Thrilled baby was healthy. This time, we are having another little girl. It seems odd to me, my family had all boys. My sisters has 2 boys, my brother has 1 boy. Then I had my girl..then my sister had her surprise baby (her boys are 16 and 19) and it was a girl..she PANICED. She thought she wanted a girl, but she completely freaked out. She was like how do I care for a girl? What is going to happen when she wants MY jewlery, and my advise, and wants me- not only am I not the best example (she means during teen years)- I'm old. LOL..I guess my point is that we all have our dreams and hopes. I would have liked to have had a boy and had one of each so I could be "done"...but I look at the positives I saved a lot of money by reusing all my girl things. I keep saying a he would have looked extremely odd with all pink, purple and aqua.
I am sorry to hear about all of your stress- that certainly doesnt help with the hormones. My husband doesn't have one romantic bone in his body anymore. So- hopefully, your plans were just delayed. ((Hugs))

When I first found out that I was having a boy I was a little dissapointed (this is DH's fourth boy, my third and we have one girl), but then I just think about the fact that I am going to have a TON of daughters in my life eventually when my boys get married (and I get to skip the whole PMS, puberty, nasty teenager phase too! LOL). I take as many notes as I can when people complain about their MIL's so that I know what NOT to do.
Poor Logan! Hope he's doing alright.
I was a bit disappointed at not having a girl.... (this was my first) so I can only imagine the feeling magnified in your case.
I know once you get over the disappointment you'll love him to death! (And you'll save money by not having to buy all new clothes/toys, etc!)
Take Care,
Cindy

First of all I would like to say I will rip ANYONE who decides to flame you about this. Those darn hormones can make you crazy. I was only 6 weeks along when we lost Munchkin and I well remember the crazyness. I can't imagin how bad it can get later on.
I just see this as venting. You are NOT saying you don't want him cause he is a boy. At least I don't see that. You just wanted a girl. Personally I want boys cause I am scared to death to have a girly girl. I will be butting heads with the MIL about putting her in pink, ribbons, and bows. BLECH! At the same time, having a girl would get me in her good graces since she wants a grandaughter. She had two boys and always wanted a girl.
